Blognote #16: {07/29/2014}

I have just sixteen days left before I settle in at my dorm and I am a bundle of nerves and excitement. I think I will most likely be settling in there on my own, since my mother will be busy with a convention in Cebu, and right now I'm just hoping that I'll be all right without my mother's supervision. There is a probability that my room is haunted but the whole dorm is notorious for its creepy stories and the students' alarming (and eerie) encounters inside its walls which has led me to the wise decision that I am never taking a shower or going to the communal bathroom/restroom all alone. I'll be living with three roommates plus I'm right next to Kathleen's room (she's Room 28 and I'm Room 29) and Anne Mary's and Manuela's rooms are also located in the same wing as ours so I have that to be grateful for. I've also started segregating my clothes and I think I might have underestimated the amount of shirts and jeans that I have bought because I think I'm going to have a hard time fitting them all in just one suitcase and a knapsack along with the other necessities I have to bring with me. I'll go back home after three weeks though so I think I'll just bring enough for the amount of time in between.

On another note, I spent last Friday night with Julienne & Janina! Moreover, I also went to Gourmandz to celebrate Anne Mary's 17th birthday and afterwards, we had a sleepover at her house!! (≧◡≦)

I met up with these two cuties at Starbucks
Forever using Jongin's stage name when ordering drinks because:
1. I'm too lazy to spell out my name and
2. I really really like it when they call his name and I'm the one who stands up to get my drink under his name ... MUCH DELUSIONAL I know (✿◠‿◠)
3. This is irrelevant but I'm just gonna confess right now that I buy most of my wallets from the children's section in department stores because JUST LOOK AT THAT CUTE TOTORO WALLET

More photos under the cut!

vlog #8: i have no title for this

I don't have a title for this and no excuses as well. I should've thought of what to answer to the questions sent before I filmed this but it's too late for regrets OTL
I'm really sorry. Also, there are captions now!!! And I went right back to sleep after my mom woke me up, which would explain why I am fresh from slumber when I recorded this lol

Blognote # 15: {06/23/14}

Hello, everyone~

How is school? I hope you're all doing great and that you're learning lots of new things and meeting new people! I'm still enjoying my summer but I would seriously give a huge chunk of all the free time that I have right now to those who are currently loaded with schoolwork and assignments if I could! Having this much free time should be a crime, I honestly do not know what to do with my life right now.

Also, I know that fandom's not really doing well at the moment but I'm trying to stay away from all the negativity. I refuse to let my source of happiness become a source of distress ^^ Also, our yearbook's out! I actually got mine last Wednesday and had lunch over at St. Scho with some of my friends~

(massive thank you to Anya for this photo and for the EXO poster!!! ^^)

On another note, yesterday was the baptism and 1st birthday party of my lovely baby niece, Bella, and I've got more photos under the breakthrough!
we all matched lol (it was unplanned!)

So this is like a somewhat lengthy (read: messy) overview of what happened while I was away doing college errands. It was an eventful four days for me and I'm posting in bullets because I can't trust myself to be coherent when it comes to these kinds of things. I hope you don't mind. This is actually very long and might bore you but I had fun while writing this and if you're interested to know the things that happened, please do read~

May 31, 2014
  • My mother and I woke up at 3 a.m because we were taking the first trip to Ilo-ilo which was scheduled at 6 a.m. Since we live an hour away from the pier and we were supposed to check in an hour before the departure, it was necessary that we were up and ready long before the break of dawn.
  • When we arrived at the pier, we had the terrible misfortune of finding out that our trip got cancelled so after asking for a refund from Supercat, my mother and I were in near hysterics. The Parents' Orientation was going to start at 8:30 and the next trip was scheduled at 9. Good thing we bumped into Anne Mary's and Kathleen's parents so we were able to buy tickets from Ocean Jet instead. We were right on schedule.
  • Upon arriving at the Ilo-ilo pier, it was only close to 7:30 so the adults decided that we should have breakfast first. The Parents' Orientation was going to be held at the UP Ilo-ilo City Campus instead of Miagao so we were able to have a quick breakfast at the Jollibee situated right in front of the university. Sometime when I was trying to finish my spaghetti, Leanne texted me that the orientation was already starting so we all filed into Kathleen's dad's car and drove to the venue.
  • When we got there, I got to say hi to a handful of friends that I got to meet during my frequent visits to Miagao in the past. We were a bit late so I ended up standing during 3/4 of the orientation (which lasted for around 3 hours I think but we left early around 11:30 so I can't be too sure) because there was only one chair available and I offered it to my mother. I can't really say the orientation was interesting, I spent most of it staring off into space.
  • After the orientation, we drove all the way to Miagao. I spent most of the hour and a half car ride sleeping but when we arrived at Balay Lampirong (the dormitory where Anne Mary and Kathleen were staying for the Summer Bridge Program), I instantly woke up and hugged them because I missed the both of them so much ;_____; They introduced me to some of the new friends they'd made during their two weeks stay there and it was mostly awkward at first (but boy the next few days were anything but awkward!!!).
  • We drove back to Ilo-ilo City (road trip galore) and had lunch there at SM. After lunch, we went our separate ways. Mom and I headed to the hotel to check in then we trekked over to Robinsons and had dinner there plus Mom bought a shitload of bags and wallets on the insistence that "You can't find these back in Bacolod" thus we had to carry five shopping bags back to the hotel OTL
  • I immediately slept upon reaching my bed because I was so darn tired.

05/30/2014

Today was a really good day. Woke up at around 7 a.m and lounged around on my bed reading fics until 9 a.m when I had to get up and prepare for a day out with friends. We had lunch at Shakey's, roamed around the mall (Janina's surprise appearance had me letting out ugly sobbing sounds), and then we watched Maleficent (which I really enjoyed by the way, I couldn't help but clap once the credits rolled in). Today also served as a mini-farewell because most of us are parting ways and aside from those who are going to be attending UP and UST, college is starting very very soon. It was especially sad when I hugged Joy goodbye. I won't be seeing her until October, or maybe even December, because of the clash in our academic calendars. But she was the one who cried while I held in my tears when we hugged each other goodbye. JOYJOY I'M GONNA MISS YOUUUU! Have a safe flight and take care of yourself, please don't get lost. Please.

Also, I will be away until Tuesday because I have enrollment and a psychological testing. I'm going to be very busy and probably won't have time to go online. This serves as a sort of goodbye. But until Tuesday only!

Peace out~

idk what this is supposed to be

In which Francine is adorable, Joy wants to stab you with a fork, I don't know what I'm doing, and Esai is the star of this video. I seriously don't know what this is.

5.09.2014

Hello, I managed to cram all the things that I had to accomplish in one day and I felt so productive last night! Despite our hectic schedule, my mother and I still got on the last boat trip home and successfully had dinner at 7 p.m before we went home. The interview went fairly well and I'm pleased with how I did. I got to make a handful of new friends as well which is somewhat of a feat considering my tendency to close myself off people I'm not really comfortable with. It's time to step out of my comfort zone though. I'm not a little girl anymore.

Also, I am screaming in my head right now because fatalfangirl reblogged my ask reply text post thing about kaisoo and I am in near hysterics because I love her fics and I was just reading Syndicate last night. "This is really cute and basically my headcanon, bless you" BLESS YOU TOO ;____;

Under the cut are some photos from when I was out swimming with friends!  (all from Joy's iTouch)

Blognote #14: {05/06/14}

I had a blast today! I woke up at 6 a.m to the sound of Kyungsoo's morning wake-up call just because I wanted a good start to what I hoped would be a great day. And a great day it was, indeed!

I went over to Joy's house and it was a good thing that by the time I arrived, she was already up. I had an inkling beforehand that maybe I still had to shake her awake because I know that girl's sleeping habits u___u We went over to McDonald's to have breakfast and when we were lining up to order, I got surprised by a girl running to our direction at full speed, her arms wide open for a hug. Turned out it was Natasha! I missed her so much and it was good to see her after such a long time, especially since today is Baekhyun's birthday and Baek's her bias. After a bit of small talk, we went over to our table and waited for Joy's parents to fetch us and drive us to Asyana's club house, where we swam and had hearty conversations in their pool. It was good catching up with Frances, Julienne, Melissa, and Francine and it was sad that the day passed by quickly for me. They're in the Panaad Stadium right now watching a football game that I was supposed to attend as well but my mother declined because I live far away (boooooooooo).

On the bright side, look the things Julienne got me from Taiwan!!!!!!!!!!!

Blognote #13: {04/22/14}

Hello, guys! How is everyone's summer so far? Mine's been pretty uneventful save for catching up with friends, preparing my college requirements, yearbook duties, and family excursions in and out of the city. But aside from that, I've been laying low and most of the time, I stay cooped up inside my room reading, writing, and watching videos. Who's a summer bum? I'M A SUMMER BUM.

  irrelevant photo: look at my cute Jongin socks ; u ;

Yesterday, I went over to Joney's house with Dindin and we watched EXO's First Box (as stated in my previous post). I've watched it twice before but I wanted to watch it for the third time with them because I badly wanted to fangirl together with the two people that I've turned into monsters (sorry not sorry).

4.08.2014

Hello! I just got back from a trip to UP-Miagao because I passed some requirements and checked out their available dorms. I was frustrated upon finding out that I can't actually pick the people I want to room with since the people in charge will be the ones choosing for me. They said it's for my own benefit so that I can get to know the students better but I can pick my roommates from 2nd semester onwards which is a relief. Even though I'm eager to meet new people and make friends out of them, I can't deny the fact that I'd be much more comfortable if I live with people I'm already well-acquainted with (especially since Anne Mary, Manuela, and Kathleen are close friends of mine and I've known all three of them for half of my life).

As for the campus itself ... I'M FREAKING IN LOVE WITH IT. It's incredibly huge and about 10x bigger than my previous school that we actually had to ride tricycles just to get from one building to another. Just picture out a school in the middle of a huge-ass forest and BAM that's where I'll be spending the next years of my life. MOUNTAINS. TREES. THICK FOLIAGE. It's no wonder everyone who knows me says that it's the perfect place for me because. it. really. is!!! I'll take photos when I go back on the 8th of May for my Medical Examination and dorm application interview (speaking of dorm applications, I still have to write an essay with the theme: "Who Am I?" like what??? kill me now)

Another thing about Miagao (the little mountain town where my school is located), it's so far away from the main city of Iloilo that you can just get yourself lost in its charm. The people are really nice and helpful and even though there isn't a fast-food restaurant in sight, there are lots of little bistros and coffee shops situated around the town. The only thing I'm actually concerned about is WiFi lol

On another note, I came home to a little surprise!

Two weeks of waiting and they're finally in my hands!

Happy #2YearsWithEXO!!! I feel inclined to write something sappy but I'm pretty sure no one wants a 5-page essay ^^

Blognote #12: {03/30/14}

My last blognote was posted November. How is that for consistency?

Anyway, life has been very tiring lately!!! Someone frustrates me to the ends of the Earth, my teeth have been aching like crazy for the past week thus I only get around 1-2 hours of sleep per night (3 if I'm lucky) because painkillers just won't cut it, and college requirements have me going around in whirlwinds. The only thing I'm looking forward to is spending time with friends and finally getting around to finishing the yearbook! Huzzah, we're almost done!!!

But as of late, I've been stuck in a rut. I have three fics that I'm currently working on because I have all these plot bunnies inside my head but I don't know what to feed them with. My writing has been all over the place, I quite don't know how to write anymore. Speaking of writing, I know that Joy and I have yet to make announcements regarding S.K.Y.  but we're still trying to find a way to break it to everyone. The ones we've told didn't take it lightly and we're scared. WE ARE INCREDIBLY SORRY IN ADVANCE.

Graduation 2014

I'll just be dumping a bunch of photos because I'm still focused on the yearbook but when my mind finally starts functioning again, I'll make an announcement about S.K.Y.

Kpop Faction 2013

So yesterday I went to Kpop Faction 2013, the first fan gathering/convention to ever be held in Bacolod. I knew about the event months back when a friend of mine whom I just met on Twitter told me about it but I quickly declined her offer because to be honest, conventions aren't really my kind of thing? But last Saturday, I met Mikee (who happened to be the leader of the EXO stans for the fanchant battle) while on my way home and she told me about the faction and encouraged that I go to said event. Again, I declined because I didn't really know what I would do during these kinds of things. But another friend of mine begged that I go so that I could help them with the fanchant battle and after much persuasion from him, I eventually gave in and invited a few friends as well. And you know what? I'm really glad I went. Yesterday was so much fun! If I had the power to turn back time, I would jump at the offer of reliving yesterday again.

Blognote #11: {11/08/13}

Happy Birthday, Darla!!! (I was supposed to post this yesterday but just when I was about to click 'Publish', the electricity went down, thus the date up there is still 11/08/13)

I got woken up by a tree crashing to the ground today. Not exactly a pretty sound to wake up to and one of the letdowns of living right next to a forest. There's a storm signal #3 typhoon raging outside and Mom still keeps on pestering me about her Facebook game requests that I adamantly refused and ignored. Oh, mother. To be honest, when I said I wanted a break, the strongest typhoon ever recorded in history wasn't what I had in mind. I just wanted life to stop for me. It seems that the world works in strange and uncanny ways though because when I asked for a break during Junior year, a typhoon also happened and classes were suspended for two days as well. I've seen photos and videos around the Internet about the mass destruction that Typhoon Yolanda has caused and it's times like these when I feel like it's a sin to be so safe and well-protected when a lot of other people are suffering the consequences of a natural calamity. I feel sick to my stomach in all honesty. Please pray for those who have been badly affected by the super typhoon. They need it :(

In other news, all I've done yesterday and today is roll around on my bed reading fics and writing poems.

Cupcakes + Carnival Rides

Last Wednesday, two of my friends went here (here as in my house) and we mainly just sat around and talked and jammed to EXO and made fun of their pre-debut photos (well, I was laughing, they were cringing lmao) but we also got around to baking cupcakes and going to the carnival that's a five-minute tricycle ride from my house. Oh, we also filmed a vlog and I'm still debating whether to post it or not.

The funny thing is that they kind of surprised me. Wait, surprise is an understatement. Joy knows where my house is located because she's already been here a couple of times in the past so I told her the night before to call me once they're already near so I could freshen up and get ready. Around 9 a.m., Joy still hadn't called me and I was beginning to think they got lost or something so I just laid around on my bed, complaining about rainbow hair, until it was almost 9:30 and I was like, "Ah, fuck it. I'm gonna go take a bath." So I went to the bathroom and just as I was about to step inside the shower, my cellphone rang and when I picked it up, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE OUTSIDE THE GATES OF MY HOUSE ALREADY. I ended up screaming at them.
"best dog in the world" -their words
with the best friends
so proud KC conquered her fear of dogs! she even said that my dog's the only canine she's not afraid of d'aaaww

Blognote #9: {07/28/13}

Wow, it's been a really long time since I last posted a blognote. How are you all doing?

It's Sunday right now and officially the start of a new week but last week was a really good one! Aside from the usual hustle and bustle of school, there was Tomorrowland with the Seniors, Anne Mary's sweet sixteen at McDonald's, and I officially paid for my concert ticket! Hurrah!!!

05/28/13: Review Sesh

So last Tuesday, I met up with some friends for a review session because we're a bunch of senior hopefuls. We agreed to meet up at 9 am but all of us were late lels. I was the second one to get to the Dream 21 Building and I arrived around 9:45, talk about punctuality.

Treahouse wasn't even open yet but we just barged in because the door was open. The man behind the counter told us that their tea wasn't ready so they weren't officially open yet but we insisted that we just needed a place to stay so he finally gave in and we dumped all our belongings on the couch.

 We practically had the entire place to ourselves.

04/30/13

Yesterday was the last day of April, and arguably one of the best as well. I woke up early (early as in 6am on a summer morning kind of early) to cook pancakes and then rolled around the living room listening to music and lurking around sites and reading articles. I was floating away in my little bubble when I suddenly remembered that I still had a birthday lunch to attend and when I checked the living room clock, it was 9:30 already!!! How'd time fly by so fast???

Lunch was scheduled at 11:30 and I live an hour away from the restaurant so I had exactly two hours to get ready, buy a set of cupcakes from Flibby's for Rhea's gift (I was only told about the party the day before, I didn't have time to buy a proper gift ///shameful///) and get to the restaurant. I took an extremely fast shower and grabbed the topmost piece of clothing in my closet and got out of the house 15 minutes after 10 am but I knew I was already running late. And what do you know? I got stuck in an hour-long traffic and by the time I got to Flibby's, it was already 12 (sobs). And there was a funny thing that happened at Flibby's! When I opened the door of the cupcake store, I saw Rhea's mom and I was like, "Uh, hi, Tita..." WHAT IS AWKWARD HUHUHU. I was there to buy cupcakes for her daughter and she was also there to buy cupcakes for all of us so that we'd have something to eat for dessert T_______T I am such a fail.

Then Tita offered that I could just go with her to Shakey's so I did and when we arrived, I was greeted by the squeals of my friends and a hug from Rhea because I think they thought I wouldn't be able to make it. Being late for 45 minutes isn't exactly something to be proud of (sigh).

Then we had lunch!

Ahahahahahahaha, my phone's camera is da best yo

04/05/13

I got my grades today and they're all right. They were higher than I expected them to be and most importantly...no line of 8! Plus, I'm H2 (with High Honors) and I think I'm #13 in the batch. I am utmost satisfied, I guess? I don't put that much effort into schoolwork so this makes me really happy. I'm really going to work extra hard Senior year though because I have to prepare myself for college and I'm pretty sure the University of the Philippines would not want to accept students with mediocre grades.

Plus, I already got enrolled so I am officially a senior now. Sigh.

Also, a massive shout out to my best friend for being TOP ONE!!! I can't with you anymore. If you're not our batch's valedictorian, I will throw a fit.

Lastly, photos from today's hangout with Marielle and Joy will be posted...soon. I hope.

Today was a good day.
