Blognote #16: {07/29/2014}

I have just sixteen days left before I settle in at my dorm and I am a bundle of nerves and excitement. I think I will most likely be settling in there on my own, since my mother will be busy with a convention in Cebu, and right now I'm just hoping that I'll be all right without my mother's supervision. There is a probability that my room is haunted but the whole dorm is notorious for its creepy stories and the students' alarming (and eerie) encounters inside its walls which has led me to the wise decision that I am never taking a shower or going to the communal bathroom/restroom all alone. I'll be living with three roommates plus I'm right next to Kathleen's room (she's Room 28 and I'm Room 29) and Anne Mary's and Manuela's rooms are also located in the same wing as ours so I have that to be grateful for. I've also started segregating my clothes and I think I might have underestimated the amount of shirts and jeans that I have bought because I think I'm going to have a hard time fitting them all in just one suitcase and a knapsack along with the other necessities I have to bring with me. I'll go back home after three weeks though so I think I'll just bring enough for the amount of time in between.

On another note, I spent last Friday night with Julienne & Janina! Moreover, I also went to Gourmandz to celebrate Anne Mary's 17th birthday and afterwards, we had a sleepover at her house!! (≧◡≦)

I met up with these two cuties at Starbucks
Forever using Jongin's stage name when ordering drinks because:
1. I'm too lazy to spell out my name and
2. I really really like it when they call his name and I'm the one who stands up to get my drink under his name ... MUCH DELUSIONAL I know (✿◠‿◠)
3. This is irrelevant but I'm just gonna confess right now that I buy most of my wallets from the children's section in department stores because JUST LOOK AT THAT CUTE TOTORO WALLET

More photos under the cut!

Hello, everyone~

How is school? I hope you're all doing great and that you're learning lots of new things and meeting new people! I'm still enjoying my summer but I would seriously give a huge chunk of all the free time that I have right now to those who are currently loaded with schoolwork and assignments if I could! Having this much free time should be a crime, I honestly do not know what to do with my life right now.

Also, I know that fandom's not really doing well at the moment but I'm trying to stay away from all the negativity. I refuse to let my source of happiness become a source of distress ^^ Also, our yearbook's out! I actually got mine last Wednesday and had lunch over at St. Scho with some of my friends~

(massive thank you to Anya for this photo and for the EXO poster!!! ^^)

On another note, yesterday was the baptism and 1st birthday party of my lovely baby niece, Bella, and I've got more photos under the breakthrough!
we all matched lol (it was unplanned!)

Blognote #14: {05/06/14}

I had a blast today! I woke up at 6 a.m to the sound of Kyungsoo's morning wake-up call just because I wanted a good start to what I hoped would be a great day. And a great day it was, indeed!

I went over to Joy's house and it was a good thing that by the time I arrived, she was already up. I had an inkling beforehand that maybe I still had to shake her awake because I know that girl's sleeping habits u___u We went over to McDonald's to have breakfast and when we were lining up to order, I got surprised by a girl running to our direction at full speed, her arms wide open for a hug. Turned out it was Natasha! I missed her so much and it was good to see her after such a long time, especially since today is Baekhyun's birthday and Baek's her bias. After a bit of small talk, we went over to our table and waited for Joy's parents to fetch us and drive us to Asyana's club house, where we swam and had hearty conversations in their pool. It was good catching up with Frances, Julienne, Melissa, and Francine and it was sad that the day passed by quickly for me. They're in the Panaad Stadium right now watching a football game that I was supposed to attend as well but my mother declined because I live far away (boooooooooo).

On the bright side, look the things Julienne got me from Taiwan!!!!!!!!!!!

Blognote #13: {04/22/14}

Hello, guys! How is everyone's summer so far? Mine's been pretty uneventful save for catching up with friends, preparing my college requirements, yearbook duties, and family excursions in and out of the city. But aside from that, I've been laying low and most of the time, I stay cooped up inside my room reading, writing, and watching videos. Who's a summer bum? I'M A SUMMER BUM.

  irrelevant photo: look at my cute Jongin socks ; u ;

Yesterday, I went over to Joney's house with Dindin and we watched EXO's First Box (as stated in my previous post). I've watched it twice before but I wanted to watch it for the third time with them because I badly wanted to fangirl together with the two people that I've turned into monsters (sorry not sorry).

Blognote #12: {03/30/14}

My last blognote was posted November. How is that for consistency?

Anyway, life has been very tiring lately!!! Someone frustrates me to the ends of the Earth, my teeth have been aching like crazy for the past week thus I only get around 1-2 hours of sleep per night (3 if I'm lucky) because painkillers just won't cut it, and college requirements have me going around in whirlwinds. The only thing I'm looking forward to is spending time with friends and finally getting around to finishing the yearbook! Huzzah, we're almost done!!!

But as of late, I've been stuck in a rut. I have three fics that I'm currently working on because I have all these plot bunnies inside my head but I don't know what to feed them with. My writing has been all over the place, I quite don't know how to write anymore. Speaking of writing, I know that Joy and I have yet to make announcements regarding S.K.Y.  but we're still trying to find a way to break it to everyone. The ones we've told didn't take it lightly and we're scared. WE ARE INCREDIBLY SORRY IN ADVANCE.

Blognote #11: {11/08/13}

Happy Birthday, Darla!!! (I was supposed to post this yesterday but just when I was about to click 'Publish', the electricity went down, thus the date up there is still 11/08/13)

I got woken up by a tree crashing to the ground today. Not exactly a pretty sound to wake up to and one of the letdowns of living right next to a forest. There's a storm signal #3 typhoon raging outside and Mom still keeps on pestering me about her Facebook game requests that I adamantly refused and ignored. Oh, mother. To be honest, when I said I wanted a break, the strongest typhoon ever recorded in history wasn't what I had in mind. I just wanted life to stop for me. It seems that the world works in strange and uncanny ways though because when I asked for a break during Junior year, a typhoon also happened and classes were suspended for two days as well. I've seen photos and videos around the Internet about the mass destruction that Typhoon Yolanda has caused and it's times like these when I feel like it's a sin to be so safe and well-protected when a lot of other people are suffering the consequences of a natural calamity. I feel sick to my stomach in all honesty. Please pray for those who have been badly affected by the super typhoon. They need it :(

In other news, all I've done yesterday and today is roll around on my bed reading fics and writing poems.

Birthdays galore!!! <3

Wow, it's been a really long time since I last posted a blognote. How are you all doing?

It's Sunday right now and officially the start of a new week but last week was a really good one! Aside from the usual hustle and bustle of school, there was Tomorrowland with the Seniors, Anne Mary's sweet sixteen at McDonald's, and I officially paid for my concert ticket! Hurrah!!!

Blognote #8: {03/25/13}

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning after a really weird dream. In my dream, I was supposedly auditioning for SM Entertainment but holy frick I was wearing my prom dress??? And Kim fucking Jongin was the one I was auditioning for??? Like he was there and I kind of froze and started singing (I think I was singing SHINee's Replay lol) and he kept staring at me and in my mind, I was going Stop staring, I can't concentrate and then the dream faded and I woke up and I got hit by the realization that Kim Jongin will never ever leave me alone. He haunts me even in my sleep, the little fucker.

After breakfast, I cleaned (or tried cleaning) my room and HALLELUJAH I found the huge-ass Super Junior poster I thought I'd lost months ago.

It's the poster from their 3rd photo book, Boys in City Season 3, and the photographs were shot in Hong Kong. I remember begging on my knees for the photo book because it was fucking expensive with all the shipping fees (because I was buying it online) and the photo book itself was worth more than a month's tuition already. But my mother eventually gave in lol. I bought it together with SJ's 4th album (which I also bought online) so that the shipping fee wouldn't cost so much. Aaaah, freshmen memories.

Happy Chinese New Year!

There's a street party along Lacson to celebrate the Lunar New Year but I'm here in my house all alone enjoying the internet and my new baby laptop. I've grown quite attached to it already so here's to rough drafts during late nights and sloppy poetry in the early mornings.

Today, we had cotillion practice in Tay Tung High School and I embarrassed myself a lot of times by missing out on the steps and getting left behind every time it was our group's turn to dance. I've been a bit wishy-washy lately because of personal reasons and it's finally taking its toll because absentmindedness was never a distinct characteristic of mine. Sigh. After cotillion practice, I headed to the nearest grocery store and bought myself a liter of melon milk because I'm a milk monster like that. Sadly though, they only had low-fat melon milk but I was craving too much to care. But the original one with lots of fat is still yummier. Oh god, look at me blogging about milk.

Anyway, I also received my honors certificate yesterday!

Blognote #6: {01/02/13}

It's been a while since my last blognote, eh? I completely forgot about this tag orz

So I woke up today thinking it was Tuesday and thanking no one in particular that I still had 6 more days of break before school year 2013 officially opens only for my good mood to be dampened when I passed along the calendar and realized that it was actually Wednesday and that I have to meet up with my groupmates on the 4th to work on all our projects. /weeps internally

Blognote #5: {10/27/12}

(I am aware that this post is a week late since Masskara happened exactly seven days ago but what the hell, I do what I want.)

So last Saturday, I celebrated the annual Masskara Festival and Street Party with lovely company though we really didn’t do much…partying. I had to walk about 500 meters from the Riverside Hospital to the nearest KFC because my friends were there waiting for me but then while I was walking to my destination, I bumped into them along the way, thus thanking my brother who was kind enough to accompany me (or maybe he was just worried because the streets were packed with people and he probably knows how much of a lost idiot I am). Afterwards, I ate a fast dinner at the famous chicken joint because I was starving and after I was done, we ~challenged~ the streets.

Marielle, Joy and I kind of just walked around Lacson Street, mask-hunting, when we were ambushed by a group of Koreans and Taiwanese who were holding up signs that read “Free Hugs!” and “Hug Me!” and boy was that an experience I would never forget. Imagine hugging complete strangers! I exchanged a few words with a really pretty Taiwanese boy (whom I soon found out was actually a girl - hey, s/he had guy hair!) and also got to talk to a Korean. Our conversation went like this: Me: “Omg I love your country!” His face lights up and he replies: “I love my country too!” And then he hugs me again because he was probably overjoyed by my proclamation of love for the Land of Kimchi.

We got a mini-high from the hugs, so we decided to stop by Starbucks and just chill for awhile. Waffles, tea, and conversations. Afterwards, we kind of walked around again. To put it simply, we did a lot of walking that night.

Blognote #4 {09/28/12}:

So today our school held its "Science Olympics", in which I was an olympian (don't ask). The game that I played in was the probably the easiest...but the most frustrating. The objective was to bounce a ping-pong ball before the mark and let it shoot into a waste basket. Sounds simple, right? Absolutely not. You had to have the right amount of pressure, which I didn't have, and if you bounced the ball after the mark, your throw was considered a violation and a point was subtracted from your team's total score.

I managed to shoot none. And people said that I looked like a maniac during the game. Oh well, I probably am one.

I'm in my house right now and I'm the only one here, which seems to be happening a lot lately. I don't know the rest of my family's whereabouts and no one bothered to call, informing me that I'd be eating dinner alone again. A sigh for me because it's Friday night and I'm home alone listening to pastel music and waiting for TTBY episodes 13 & 14 to finish downloading so that I can finally fangirl my little heart out.

Also, I read an article about Taemin yesterday and I just wanted to share my favorite lines from it:

NEWS: SHINee’s curfew hour changed from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM after Taemin reached legal age
Taemin talked about his new fondness of drinking and also expressed his desire to go to a club, as he’s never gone before. (cr: source)

Help, I'm in love with a loser.

Blognote #3 {9/15/12}

Yesterday and also last night was the NOPSSCEA Drum-beating Contest (in which our school won 2nd-runner up and it's quite an achievement considering that the odds were against us and we were the only all-girls group to compete) and Marielle's post-birthday dinner, respectively. I had so much fun and it was so invigorating seeing our drum-beaters play with so much passion and energy. Seeing my friends having so much fun doing what they love to do made me want to crawl on the floor and cry.

On another note, I had a very lovely dinner with very lovely company last night. I ate so much, maybe too much, and brought home cookies and blueberry muffins for my family because I was being a huge sap last night.

Woke up to heavy rains this morning so right after getting out of bed, I jumped into the wetness and bathed in its glory. One hour of jumping on puddles and tasting raindrops, who cares about pruned hands? And then my sister made kimbap for breakfast and it was delicious.

It's still raining and it's cold and I'm eating the cookies that I bought last night and everything's just great. I don't even care that this post seems all over the place. I'm happy right now and nothing else matters.

Blognote #2 {9/7/12}

*Written during recess time, around 9:45-9:50am

I'm all alone in this classroom, my only company the souls of ghosts past and the whirring, mechanical sound of the electric fan. This is nice. Being all alone in this room that's usually filled with so many people talking and laughing all at the same time, or pens click-clacking and feet tapping to the beats in my classmates' minds during discussions being so eerily quiet at the moment is a form of simple pleasure that I can't help but appreciate despite the need to study for the English long test. Thus, I write about said moment. Huzzah, I say. Nathaniel Hawthorne and gerund phrases can worry about themselves later.
For the time being, this classroom is mine.

(and then I would soon find out that I shouldn't even have felt the need to study for said long test)

-

*I'm home.

The angles are crying tonight. It's been raining like mad for the past half hour, complete with heavy, heart-wrenching thunder and bright flashes of lightning. I'm scared out of my wits because we live quite near the sea and people say that lightning strikes more often on places near large bodies of water.

But cold, dreary weather + the latest episodes of TTBY + Onew's voice lulling me to sleep every night = ♥

Blognote #1 {8/28/12}

I woke up 30 minutes later than usual this morning which inevitably led me to do trivial things like shower, get dressed and eat in a frenzied manner. This was probably due to the fact that I slept an hour and a half later than my usual shut-eye curfew last night, thus leading me to becoming extra groggy in the morning.
Let me tell you - not a good way to start the school week.

On the contrary, we have NCAE tomorrow, otherwise known as National Career Assessment Examination. It perplexes me why some people feel the need to study when they can just rely on stored knowledge. With these types of tests, it's all about intuition. You can't force yourself to be good in Math when it's not your forte. This is assessing yourself and your limits. Don't be afraid. Just wish what's best for you.
And...am I the only one who's excited for tomorrow? No one else? No? Only me? Really? Oh...okay, then.

I am such a little weirdo.
