04/30/13

Yesterday was the last day of April, and arguably one of the best as well. I woke up early (early as in 6am on a summer morning kind of early) to cook pancakes and then rolled around the living room listening to music and lurking around sites and reading articles. I was floating away in my little bubble when I suddenly remembered that I still had a birthday lunch to attend and when I checked the living room clock, it was 9:30 already!!! How'd time fly by so fast???

Lunch was scheduled at 11:30 and I live an hour away from the restaurant so I had exactly two hours to get ready, buy a set of cupcakes from Flibby's for Rhea's gift (I was only told about the party the day before, I didn't have time to buy a proper gift ///shameful///) and get to the restaurant. I took an extremely fast shower and grabbed the topmost piece of clothing in my closet and got out of the house 15 minutes after 10 am but I knew I was already running late. And what do you know? I got stuck in an hour-long traffic and by the time I got to Flibby's, it was already 12 (sobs). And there was a funny thing that happened at Flibby's! When I opened the door of the cupcake store, I saw Rhea's mom and I was like, "Uh, hi, Tita..." WHAT IS AWKWARD HUHUHU. I was there to buy cupcakes for her daughter and she was also there to buy cupcakes for all of us so that we'd have something to eat for dessert T_______T I am such a fail.

Then Tita offered that I could just go with her to Shakey's so I did and when we arrived, I was greeted by the squeals of my friends and a hug from Rhea because I think they thought I wouldn't be able to make it. Being late for 45 minutes isn't exactly something to be proud of (sigh).

Then we had lunch!

Ahahahahahahaha, my phone's camera is da best yo
There was good conversation all around and I couldn't stop laughing at Bea and Anne's bickers over the most random things and I just really really genuinely enjoyed myself. I don't think I've had that much light-hearted fun in a really long time. After lunch, we got 'em cupcakes (sobs) and I got a Quadraple chocolate but Rhea was kind enough to let me change it to Chocolate Chip Maple Pancake because that's my favorite while everybody else was fighting over the red velvet cupcakes. Then we wrote birthday messages on a scrapbook given by Francine as a gift and us girls were so ashamed that the boys had neater and nicer penmanship than most of us OTL

Afterwards, we went to SM but there were only a few of us left. Half of us had to leave for other personal plans while the other half didn't have anything to do so we headed over to the nearest mall. Oowie was with us on the way but he still had dance practice so it was just us girls. We trekked to the food court because we actually didn't get to eat the cupcakes yet prior to the fact that everyone was stuffed with pizza and pasta and good ole mojos.

I'm not actually close with all of them but they're extremely good company and fun to be around with. I'm glad I got the chance to spend some time with them, as I normally stick to my usual group of friends at school. Cheers to friendship!

Then we just sort of listlessly roamed around the mall, not really doing anything, no destination in mind. Bea, Anne, Racine, and I split from the group and we went to National Book Store to pore over review books for the college entrance exams and then we went all serious about college plans and the like. Then we got even more serious, talking about parting ways and being far away from each other (cue in tears). Then it was already close to 4 and I remembered that I had to be home by 5 so I told them that I had to go home but before I left, they went with me to the grocery because I was low on my candy stash. After buying my candies, I went home.

Guys, this is really cheap bubblegum-flavored cotton candy but oh my god it's so good!!! There are other flavors as well!  I just discovered it yesterday because while I was over at the candy section, this little kid kept whining over wanting cotton candy and it made me want cotton candy as well hahahahahaha IT'S GLORIOUS sadjhsljfhskgflkjhdsjfhalyjhdsadfgjksgsjdhflk

Yesterday was love, love, love. I want a repeat.
