Blognote #7: {02/09/13}

Happy Chinese New Year!

There's a street party along Lacson to celebrate the Lunar New Year but I'm here in my house all alone enjoying the internet and my new baby laptop. I've grown quite attached to it already so here's to rough drafts during late nights and sloppy poetry in the early mornings.

Today, we had cotillion practice in Tay Tung High School and I embarrassed myself a lot of times by missing out on the steps and getting left behind every time it was our group's turn to dance. I've been a bit wishy-washy lately because of personal reasons and it's finally taking its toll because absentmindedness was never a distinct characteristic of mine. Sigh. After cotillion practice, I headed to the nearest grocery store and bought myself a liter of melon milk because I'm a milk monster like that. Sadly though, they only had low-fat melon milk but I was craving too much to care. But the original one with lots of fat is still yummier. Oh god, look at me blogging about milk.

Anyway, I also received my honors certificate yesterday!

Third quarter in a row, let's hope I keep this up until I graduate high school so I can get into a kick-ass college and make a nice future for myself. I know I can do better than this but I have a lazy butt and I'm too much of a procrastinator and I really think sleep is more essential than good grades.

Yesterday in homeroom, we had an activity wherein we were supposed to complete the sentences shown in our adviser's powerpoint (e.g. "My friend who accepts me for who I am", "My friend who shares the same passions and hobbies as me", etc.) I received these~

Lastly, I had my gown fitting today! I am in love with my prom gown. It's simple yet I find it really pretty and it's in the exact shade of yellow that I really like and I almost didn't want to take it off. It’s still not finished (it’s missing a sash and needs tweaks with the length) and I have to go back next week for the final fitting. I'm not really excited for prom since I've never liked the notion of the whole affair but this makes me look forward to February 23, even if just for a little bit.

This blognote's a bit on the messy side and I sincerely apologize. There are ants crawling on my bed because I left a half-eaten Mars chocolate bar lying around and I'm currently drowning my sorrows in a bowl of Koko Krunch cereal. Such is my life.

Until the next blognote,
