A day filled with gift shopping, Korean ice cream, and walks at the park.

Yesterday was both fun and physically draining.  I woke up around the break of dawn, getting roused by my mother’s shuffling footsteps making floppy sounds on the tiled floor. I found out I couldn’t sleep afterwards, so I took a quick breakfast consisting of 2 measly pieces of butter rolls and then read a little bit. And then I fell asleep again.

I woke up around quarter to 9, and since I had some time left before getting ready for the mall, I went online, sent a short but sweet message to Carissa, blogged a bit, and then took a very quick shower. I found out there was no shampoo [boo] so I settled for some conditioner instead. And then I found out that we ran out of my favorite gingerbread body wash. I was ready to drop on the floor and sob at that moment.
Afterwards, grabbed what was on the top of my closet and didn’t even bother choosing another shirt when I realized it was the same top I just wore 2 weeks prior. Who fucking cares anyway? Slipped on my comfy Crocs and I was ready to go.
  • I arrived 25 minutes late at Robinson’s and my sister was irritated by my tardiness. Her anger was short-lived though. As always.
  • We had lunch at Bob’s, and then we hurried over to the 2nd floor and bought a pair of over-priced flip-flops for Dad at Seed.
  • Then we went over to the new annex of Robinson’s, which is the Citywalk, went inside the Negros Showroom, and bought a set of over-priced jewelry for Mom.
  • We went back inside the main mall, went straight to the Supermarket, and bought some over-priced chocolates for Mom [I’ve always despised Ferrero Rocher but my mom absolutely loves them].
  • We went inside the department store and bought tons of post-its, memo pads, and journals that I’m sure we won’t use. They’re our drugs.
  • And then both of us were craving for some Korean food. We decided to head over to 31 Korea, the new restaurant we haven’t checked out yet, and ordered some Kimchi Tuna rice balls. We ate with SNSD singing and dancing on the flat-screen TV right next to us. Sooyoung is so pretty :3
  • And then we bought some Korean ice cream. The one that I ate was watermelon and its seeds were sunflower seeds. Ehehe it was so good.
  • And then we just sort of walked around the mall listlessly.
After about 15 minutes or so, we decided to head over to Belzette, a novelty gift shop that sells pretty little things at reasonable prices. Spent about half an hour over there poring over the stuff. In the end, we bought 2 Domo pencil cases, 2 Vapur water containers, and 2 sets of bunny ears. I just realized they all came in 2’s.

And then we headed over to the downtown area of the city and went inside Unitop, which sells lots of pirated DVDs, and leafed over the collections. Please be informed that this was not my idea and I was just dragged along. Prior to this, I actually despised pirated DVDs.
We ended up buying 7 movies, 2 of which are Korean, and a Korean drama series, Dream High, in which IU is a prominent member of the cast. And then we went home and I fell asleep on the car ride with Korean indie blasting through my earphones.

When we arrived home, my sister wanted to go the park, which is just a couple of blocks from where we live, and look at the Christmas lights, which were scattered all over like snowflakes. Some were really pretty while some were just an eyesore. I was so tired by then that I didn't really pay attention.
