School.

I don't know what to think about school. Heck, I don't even want to think about it. But I can't help this gnawing feeling in my chest. School starts tomorrow. That much I know. But what I don't know is how I'm going to spend the first day back. I've just been so used to the inactivity of the break that I know I'm going to feel drained and dead tired by the time my head hits the pillow tomorrow night.

What I do want is to see my friends again. That's the only consolation I get after all. They make school seem more worth it and less draining.

By the way, I also get a new adviser. Ms. Omori's transferring to another school and I'm sure it was our own damn faults. I'm going to miss her for sure. I just hope everything works out for the better. For her. For us. For every single person involved.

And ugh. Social Studies long test. What a way to start the new school year. My head does not want to memorize the Travels of Marco Polo, or the French/Russian Colonial Empire, or even Prince Henry the Navigator. It just wants to stay empty, the kind of empty that makes you drift away into your own world.

Sigh.
