Last weekend

Good Friday was spent well. My family and I, together with my brother's girlfriend who was staying with us for the entirety of the weekend, joined the annual procession organized by the church. It's already a tradition in our family  and to be quite honest, I actually look forward to this every year. Walking for two hours straight might seem like a burden, but if you decide to look past the ache your body feels plus the thirst and hunger, it's a very fulfilling experience. Afterwards, there was a dinner held in our house with Mom's extended family, as they also joined the procession with us. Lots of light-hearted laughter shared among everyone. I really love my mom's side of the family.

If Friday was a solemn affair, Saturday was a fun one. We all woke up early because we were going to our farm up in the mountains to breathe in some fresh air and also to show Manang Dabel around. The farm is a two-hour ride away from our house so right after breakfast, we all got into the car and my brother drove us up to the mountains. I spent the whole ride listening to music and imagining conversations in my head. I love long car rides.

When we got there, our farm didn't really change much. Actually, it's technically not a farm, more like a piece of land with a house and a pool a few chickens and ducks. We just like to call it "farm" and I don't know why. Last time I went there was health break of last year and I really miss the coldness of the mountains.

I've always liked this pathway.
I was taking a picture and my mom showed up lol
leaves. leaves everywhere

They didn't expect our visit so the pool was dirty. orz
Mom talked with some of the people in charge while we were free to roam around and do whatever we liked. You know what I did? I climbed a tree!!!

smiling but deep inside i was dying. small fear of heights dun-dun-dun

It was my first time to climb one and I was really fucking scared but I managed!

Then we went home and rested for a bit. Around 4:30 in the afternoon, Mom decided that we should all head over to Bantayan Park, which is just a 5-minute walk away from our house, to watch the sunset. So we did.

my very mature 27-year old brother

my brother was trying to lift me up lol

the adorable couple. my brother's girlfriend is the sweetest :3

Bantayan Park is actually where I walk my dog and most nights, I go there by myself to think and have some alone time. It's nice, especially during the nighttime because they hang up lights and the streetlamps all emit that soft glow that feels just right. Also, the wind is glorious there and the smell of the sea is always present. I'm lucky to live near such a wonderful place.

Sunday, we heard mass in the morning, had lunch by the beach, then watched a movie. I had to line up for an hour just to watch G.I. Joe but no regrets because Lee fucking Byung-hee was amazing.

And this post is all over the place, I know. Sigh.
