Prom 2013 | Moonlight in Paris

Prom was wonderful. I enjoyed myself and yeah, there were some parts that were a bit dragging but at the end of everything, I could say that all the stressful preparations and tiring cotillion practices were somehow worth it. Everyone looked extra beautiful and lovely and maybe it wasn't everything I expected it to be, but the important thing is that I genuinely enjoyed myself and I got to experience something like this. Prom only happens once in my lifetime, after all.

After the afterparty, my friends and I headed to our respective hotel rooms and chatted the night away. We were in Manuela and Marielle's room talking up until the wee hours of the morning before we headed back to our rooms and prepared for sleep. Bea and Joy decided they wanted to hang out on the hotel's rooftop before tucking in for the night but Anne and I were too tired to function so we let them go and we decided to just go back to our hotel room. But about ten minutes later, I couldn't sleep and Joy and Bea weren't back yet so I asked Anne (who wasn't able to sleep yet as well) if she wanted to go join them. She agreed so we headed to the elevator and took it to the fourth floor. When the doors of the elevator opened, we were greeted not by Bea nor Joy but STARK. DARKNESS. LIKE STRAIGHT OUT OF A HORROR MOVIE so of course we yelled our heads off and closed the elevator doors and hyperventilated and when we reached our floor, we saw Joy and Bea waking and so we ran to them, screaming like lunatics. A man even opened the door of his hotel room and asked Bea what was going on. Sorry for waking you up, mister, but I just had one of the scariest encounters ever huhuhuhuhuhu.

And then Bea and Joy couldn't stop laughing at us for a good ten minutes -___-"

Afterwards, everyone was pretty tired and it was already nearing 6 am and we were supposed to take up at 8 for breakfast. So we slept and then we were all woken up by Marielle and Manuela knocking on our door so that all of us could have breakfast at the rooftop together. After eating, we just lounged around the pool area and talked before heading back to our rooms and preparing all our things for check-out. We ordered delivery from McDonald's but it took nearly an hour for them to deliver our food so everyone was pretty pissed but Marielle's phone call with a British accent cracked us all up.

You know what? I think I enjoyed myself more during the events that occurred after prom than prom itself but that's only because I was with extremely good company.

But prom was really really fun as well!

I had a mighty good time. But hooray because no more "promlemas"!!!!
