So an anon commented on a post I made several months ago about the rumors regarding Taemin smoking and I guess I'd just like to share some of my thoughts and opinions about it again? The anon's reply kind of threw me off the wall and although I do not wholly disagree with her, she made some points that contradict with my own opinion about the whole matter.

"Agreed, I do think Taemin does not smoke, but I have seen a proof video where taemin smokes with a real cigarette but it could be edited. And to be honest taemin is my bias and if he smokes, he would ruin his image as a maknae, cutie, and innocent image. If he does smoke, it could ruin his career life and the criticism of peers and the paparazzi."
Well, I've always thought that his
innocence was just a front and nowadays, I think he's trying to shed off his cute
image, what with all the flamboyant and edgy performances, tummy
flashes, and ear piercings. And I know a lot of idols who smoke. We, as
fans, are sometimes blinded by our own judgment that we take our biases
to be perfect human beings when they're not. They smoke, they drink,
they get angry, they have problems, they cry. They're not robots who
give in to demands all the time. They've got feelings too. I don't
really care if he ruins his career life just as long as he's happy with
HIS life.
