This is me, with fandom: How it all Started

(So I've created this new segment where I basically just ramble/rant about the Korean music industry, pretty boys, and all my other obsessions.)

My affinity and addiction to Korean pop (and men) started out a little bit differently as opposed to most of the fans here in my country. I was only 10 when I watched the first ever music video my wide eyes landed upon and it was magic after that. The result was inevitable. There were pretty boys dancing and singing and being adorable, I had no control over myself. I got sucked into the infamous Kpop black hole and since then, I haven't looked back.

What was the music video that sparked my interest? None other than Super Junior's Miracle. It's one of the lesser-known music videos but it's my 2nd favorite next to Dancing Out (another one of the unknown music videos *sigh*). They looked so fresh and preppy and fun and we all know the power of pretty boys on girls with certain fetishes is fatal. I was helpless, hopeless, and so I gave in.

And here I am right now, almost 6 years strong as a Kpop fan, and I have no plans on leaving this fandom. I'm actually very thankful that I got to discover it before the great "Hallyu Wave" because I tend to despise things I see and hear everywhere and since Kpop is quite prominent here in my country, I would've mindlessly hated it (if not for the fact that I knew it eons before it became famous here).

Next on the list: Why do I listen to songs I can't understand the lyrics to? since I've been asked this countless times in real life and it irks me.
