Words of a teenage escapist.

I got asked on Tumblr for some writing tips/advice and I just feel like sharing them with you guys. These aren't technical writing tips though because I'm more into creative writing and I've never been good when it comes to technical writing.  Ehehe

• Do not write for the sole purpose of imparting knowledge on others, instead write to know more about yourself.
• When you write sentences, don’t make them dull and clear and boring with no original thought or genuine feeling whatsoever. Step out of your comfort zone and explore, experiment, inspire.
• Don’t be so eager to write about what people want. I personally think writing is a relationship between the writer and words, the reader is just a mistress. Write about what you want to write.
• Lose control and try to write on waves of emotion. Don’t stick so close to shore.
• Keep your hand moving. Avoid crossing out as much as possible because it ruins your rhythm and if you ruin your rhythm, there will be a long queue of thoughts and most of these thoughts might get unwritten.
• Don’t be scared to write about the things other people might find strange. Strange has a lot of good energy.
•  Always remember that you are free to write the worst junk in the world.
• Probably the most important one - write about what your mind sees and feels, not what it thinks it should see and feel. It’s a great opportunity to capture the oddities of your mind.
